I live in farming country where the nitrates are so thick in the water your plumbing gets crusted with crystals. My small town seems to think it's best to offset this by adding so much chlorine it smells like a steamy bleach filled laundry when you run the dishwasher. My house has soldered copper plumbing and I was sure dissolved metal in the water wasn't doing us any good either.

Water filters fast and comes out tasting as good as any bottled water I ever bought. Filters last about 40 gallons worth and saves me MUCH money every month. No bleach smell or taste. No murkiness from dissolved nitrates in the water. No metallic taste either. Just clean, crystal clear, great tasting water with no nonsense.

Only gripe I have (and reason this didn't get 5 stars), is that it doesn't remove fluoride from the water. Seriously, it would be nice if PUR was allowed by law to filter out this toxic substance.
